HOUSTON (October 31, 2016) – The Houston Super Bowl Host Committee announced that Equilibria, a professional training, coaching and business management firm, will train volunteers and Host Committee members with the goal of providing a great Houston experience for Super Bowl LI.

“One of the Host Committee’s objectives is to leave a legacy of Houston as a city that collaborates and uses the diversity of its population to build, innovate and grow,” saidSallie Sargent, President & CEO of the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee. “We are so pleased to work with Equilibria to help our volunteers learn how to use their own diversity of thought and behavior to contribute to a team effort that showcases the collaborative spirit of Houston for years to come.”

Equilibria works with major corporations and organizations worldwide to improve safety, teamwork and communications. The company, through simple tools that use personality as a common language, will provide volunteers with the means to communicate more effectively and to make intentional, thoughtful choices in communicating with others.

“We are truly honored to have the opportunity to work with the thousands of Houston Super Bowl Host Committee volunteers,” said Lewis Senior, Co-Founder of Equilibria. “We believe that through self-awareness and learning what triggers actions and reactions in ourselves and others, we can make conscious choices that let us work at our highest potential. At Equilibria, we call this Living with Intention.”

Host Committee volunteers will receive online training using a proprietary Personality Diversity Indicator (PDI) that analyzes personality style patterns to address individual strengths and limiters.

This is the first time a Super Bowl Host Committee has provided this type of training to its volunteers with the expectations of improving both short and long-term outcomes.
